Luego de que el Congreso de Argentina aprobara en la madrugada de este jueves el matrimonio entre parejas del mismo sexo, en Colombia buscan revivir esa iniciativa.
Aunque el Senado y la Cámara de Representantes ya en dos ocasiones han hundido proyectos en es sentido, la senadora Piedad Córdoba anunció que "vamos con todo" frente a ese proyecto.
A través de la red social Twitter, Córdoba está recibiendo todas las propuestas posibles en ese sentido. Con el tag o la etiqueta "#YoLegislo", la congresista está promoviendo ese proyecto de ley que sería presentado en los próximos días.
Además, dijo que en su correo piedadcordobaruiz@gmail. y en la web piedadcordoba.net recibirá todas las ideas para que se permita el matrimonio gay en Colombia. Piedad Córdoba ha sido activista defensora de los derechos fundamentales de las parejas del mismo sexo. En la próxima legislatura, que inicia el 20 de Julio, podría empezar el debate y deliberación del proyecto.

The Liberal Party senator is leading an effort to legalize same-sex marriage. Although Congress has twice shot down similar proposals in the past, she hopes to begin work on the bill on July 20, when the next legislative period begins.
In a bid to gather support for her initiative, she has opened an online consultation with Colombians on Twitter.
Cordoba leads the "Poder Ciududano Siglo XXI" movement, which is situated to the left of her party, and has long defended the rights of homosexuals. Although the situation of homosexuals in Colombia remains difficult, Senator Cordoba's struggle follows an important victory for gay rights activists. In January, the Constitutional Court ruled that homosexual couples had the same civil, political, social and economic rights as heterosexual partners.
